WWe have extended the Google Analytics code with the “anonymizeIP” function. This means that Google will truncate your IP address within the Member States of the European Union or other contracting states in the European Economic Area Agreement. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The “anonymizeIP” function truncates the last 8 bits of a user’s IP address. By using this function, only the user’s approximate location can be identified. The IP address sent by the user’s browser will not be merged or associated with other data held by Google.
